Apache UIMA's mission: the creation and maintenance of open-source
software related to the analysis of unstructured data, guided by the
UIMA Oasis Standard.

Activity:
  Most major projects (Java SDK, DUCC, uimaFIT, RUTA) are
  actively being worked on.  The Java SDK version 3 reached
  the beta version in a release.
  
  We successfully made our first use of the Symantec Jar-signing
  service (kudos to Mark Thomas for helping out in several admin issues). 
  
  Mailing list activity remains moderate, with 
  people from the extended community helping out by answering
  questions.         
              
Community:

  The community continues to be moderately active.

No Board level issues at this time.
