Abstract

KarafEE - When OSGI modularity meets J2EE world (present and future)

Apache KarafEE is a packaging of Apache Karaf and Apache OpenEJB servers providing out of the box OSGI modularity and strengths of J2EE features (CDI, EJB, JPA, OSGI Services, ... ). This talk will present Apache KarafEE and How integration projects (Camel, ...) can leverage CDI, EJB, JPA easily on a OSGI platform offering OSGI services. Camel routes, Web Services can now access business logic developed using Java J2EE standards (EJB, CDI) but also using JPA as ORM. The talk will include a presentation of Karaf technology, what has been added specifically for KarafEE, the present and future about what has been done and some demo using Apache Camel with CDI, EJB and JPA.
