Description

Apache OpenOffice has two sites for Extensions and Templates to allow creators to update their extensions and templates, and end-users to search, select and download them. The talk focuses on how to use such websites and how to create simple extensions and templates.

Abstract

SourceForge is re-engineered and hosts the two sites for Extensions and Templates, located at http://extensions.openoffice.org and http://templates.openoffice.org respectively. Both sites have been updated in order to make them able to serve end-users needs, and the stats system has been updated and integrated with SourceForge stats.

This session is meant to present what has been done to make operational both the Extensions and the Templates websites, and will provide simple and visual instructions to:

  • Create and upload an Extension (dictionary);

  • Create and upload a Template (resume).
